Since I'm not artistically inclined, the only thing I'll probably be contributing to this contest (sadly) is pointing out what looks to be a typo. From the page linked in the tweet: Here’s the rules to our art contest (Emphasis Added):
1. You must be registered for Matsuricon 2011 and present at Opening Ceremonies to win.
1a. Staff are NOT eligible to participate in this contest. |

Your art contest mentions putting the "mascots" in the role of heroes or villains... where can I find a baseline definition of the mascots?

Which reminds me, now that the mascots have new costumes on the main page, who are they supposed to be?
Doc Ock is obvious, the dog reminds me of magneto, but the other 3 I'm pretty lost on.
Is the main guy supposed to be a combination of The Joker and Gambit, with a wallet chain?

Here's who the mascots are suppose to be: Heroes: Mom - Rogue Dad - Superman Son - Nightwing Daughter - Starfire Dog - Green Lantern Villains: Mom - Scarlet Witch Dad - Joker Son - Doctor Octopus Daughter - Terra Dog - Magneto |
