Hello all!

My name is Nick, I'm 22 and a senior in CSE at Ohio State. This will be my first Matsuricon, but my 5th con over all. Hopefully I'll find something interesting to cosplay as, but this will only be my 2nd time cosplaying and I'm not very good at making costumes >_>.

Anime-wise, I love pretty much all anime. I try to keep up with a lot of the recent shows (Nyarko-san is hilarious), but I also go back and watch some of the classics whenever I have a chance. Some of my recent favorites include Madoka and Steins;Gate. My favorite anime of all time is Kenshin (up to the end of the Shishio arc), but I've never had an anime move me as much as Clannad:AS. As you can see, I watch a pretty broad selection of anime, but lately I haven't really been able to get into the big Shonen ones (Bleach, Naruto, One Piece, etc).

I'm always interested in talking anime and I'm looking forward to meeting everybody at my first Matsuricon in August! If you have any questions or just want to talk, feel free to PM me or whatever, I'm pretty friendly .

I am 28 years old and this will be my 5th matsuricon and my 10th con since 2005. I have cosplayed naruto from shippuden,kiba and Kakashi from naruto for years. my first cosplay was a store bought version of naota from flcl.

Anime-wise, my anime favorites were watched fansubbed before they came to the us. such as: To Love Ru,Sekirei and Sekirei: Pure engagment,Kanokon,Rosario To Vampire and Rosario To Vampire Capu2,asobi ni iku yo,omamori himari and zero's familiar. I watch even my classic animes like Ranma 1/2,Green Green,Eiken,Tenchi Muyo and Gxp,maburaho and flcl. My favorite mangas are: Omamori Himari,Guardian Hearts,Eiken,Aoi House and Rosario To Vampire.

Cons I have gone to:Animepunch 05,06-Matsuricon 07,08,09,10,11-Ohayocon 06,07,09.

Cons I have dropped: Ohayocon (TOO MANY RULES)

Hey everyone!

Name is Ryan, and I'm 24 years old, single and generally a pretty cool person if I must say so myself. 
This will be my first MatsuriCon and second Con in general since just going to Colossalcon this year.
I'm a long time gamer and enjoy all things related and have since just been getting in some Anime as well, always loving the cultures behind them.
I will be Cosplaying as Mega Man for sure currently with some others up in the air for now.  Starting work on my outfit this weekend.
Currently work in the IT field for the corporate headquarters of a local car group and live in Cleveland.
Excited to be coming to Columbus for this Con with a group of pretty cool people and staying the weekend in the Hyatt!

Just finding out about the Distant Worlds concert for Final Fantasy is awesome as well! Can't wait for August 24th to come around.

Haven't introduced myself yet, but here we go!

My name is Nathan, and this will be my... 3rd or 4th Matsuricon, can't remember XD  To be honest, Matsuricon is my favorite con, mostly due to the overabundance of friendly people and not feeling squished in anywhere (like some of the larger cons in the area).
I am a cosplayer, and plan on bringing a few this year.  Past cosplays include Sora (KHII), Shizuo (Durarara!!), and Espeon (Pokemon Gijinka), to just name a few.  Along with cosplay, I am an avid gamer and enjoy mech animes, one of my favoritte being Eureka Seven (cosplaying Renton here!).
As for life outside anime and games, I am currently a student at OSU studying Aerospace Engineering and will be entering my senior year.

Hello! My name is Eva, but Venice is just fine (pretty much what I go by everywhere else)! I'm 22, a Fine Arts major, an Air Force brat, a Spaniard on my mother's side, and an avid roleplayer!

I dabble in fandoms, most noticeably: Final Fantasy (especially 9 and 10), Black Butler, Kingdom Hearts, Legend of Korra (and its predecessor), Legend of Zelda (Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword), BBC Sherlock, Homestuck, and pretty much anything Studio Ghibli (but especially Howl's Moving Castle because, good grief, how GORGEOUS).

This will be actually be my first time both at a Convention AND an Artist Alley, so I'm a little nervous! Ehe. Right now I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to get stuff together to try to sell! Major props to all others participating in Artist Alley, this isn't as simple (not that I ever thought it was a piece of cake) as I first thought! Hope to get to meet some of you there, as well as all you other lovely folk!

I can't believe I've consistently missed this thread. -_-;;  My name is Caitlin, I'm 24, and this is my second year running as Matsuricon's Programming Director and fourth year working for the convention in some capacity.  I've never actually been to Matsuricon as an attendee.  My first year here I got pulled onto staff within half an hour of being on site (that was back in 2009--I feel old).  I head up a very large crew that you guys know as the majority of Programming and Publications staff that all come from Louisville, KY.  We're still all a little sketchy as to how we ended up helping run a con that's four hours from home, but we put our hearts into it.

I'm pretty old school when it comes to anime.  It's almost guaranteed that if it came out in the last five years I haven't seen it (Miyazaki films not included).  The only reason I know about a lot of shows is because of what I do for conventions.  I'm a huge Star Wars and Star Trek dork.  Yes, those two can coincide.  I'm also big into video games (particularly tactical strategy games like Final Fantasy Tactics and Tactics Ogre) and have been told I have an unhealthy relationship with books.

I run two panels at almost every convention I go to that have gained me a tiny bit of notoriety, so if you've ever been to Being Female in Geekdom or Geek Chicks After Dark we've sort of met.  Oh, and I used to run this panel called 10 Cons Per Year a whole lot.  My number of cons is well over 50 now, and I've only been doing this since 2008.  Matsuricon will be #14 for 2012 if I don't add any to my roster.  I'm currently working on a book called Diary of a Convention Addict to share some of the more entertaining stories I've gained over the years.

Anyhow, I'm the guru of all things panel/event/cosplay related.  Feel free to ask what you will.  If I don't get back to you within a week, start sending me annoying amounts of e-mails at programming.matsuricon@gmail.com  I have a really bad habit of drafting a reply, forgetting to send it, and thinking I have the issue taken care of.

So happy that time of year is coming again... Matsuri since 2007 with the kids. Kids now grown and we are still con going! A family that cosplays together, stays together, (and kills zombies together)... Woot Woot! Can I get an "Ohhh yeah" ...? Ima MamaLuffy and I cosplay Madam Red and Medusa cause I am a bloody witch! Not really. I play against type, I love you all and I can't wait to see what wild, cool, amazing things we do this year. This year we want to sew a new something with more ruffles, lace, and shapely fabric. Hee hee, hope we find the time for a pretty, pretty cosplay or Lolita to add to the Hetalia, Kuroshitsuji, Soul Eater, Bleach, Avatar, Dragon Ball, et al, cosplay closet. My name is Tommy... this will be my third Matsuricon and second in a row, after the awesome experience last year. (I nearly was killed in a car accident on I-670 just minutes after leaving last year's Matsuricon, but that's another story.) I'm best known for being a Packers fan outside anime conventions; when it comes to cons themselves, I've run various game shows including Survivor which was extremely popular at Colossalcon as Hetalia Survivor. Because of all the good reviews I've got from it, I hope to bring it back to another con, maybe even here... anyway, I should be cosplaying as Austria throughout Matsuricon, and as a rare male cosplaying Hetalia, you should recognize me for that!

Hey I am Charlie I am a 17 year old girl who lives by cleveland OH. This will be my 2nd MatsuriCon this year, other conventions i have been to are Ohyocon and Anime Boston. I mainly cosplay Hetalia since those are the main cosplays i own however i am currently working on a Sango (anime:Inuyasha) cosplay which i hope to complete by the convention. Soooo yeah I hope to have a amazing year again this year out of all the conventions I have been to Matsuricon was the best by far I met and kept some really awesome friends.

Hello my name is John and i have never been to Matsuricon! I am 26 and have been a big fan of anime even before anime was on cartoon network and you had to go to the video rental store for a small selection of anime! Fun times haha. Two mangas / anime  I have been into the longest is Berserk and Gantz love the violence and craziness. Though i only listed two animes, i love just comming home from school or work and watching a different anime, so i have seen alot but i can always increase that number!

I dont have many friends that enjoy anime at the same level as i do, so i have been lacking in how many cons i have been too! So i am pumped up about going to my first Matsuricon and excited to meet a bunch of people with the same interest! I am ready for the hard core geek talk !

Beside work and school I am an amature body builder, i enjoy gaming (old school and new) and when im not on a diet i love to eat and drink! (To people who are new too Columbus you must try The Thurman Café, really good.)

Never done cosplay before so i am going to give it a try dont know what to do yet, if any one is wanting to do a big group and you need more people hit me up!

I Hope to meet alot of you and cant wait to break my virginity of matsuricon!
