Matsuricon's 2012 Cosplay Gatherings List!-Closed

Hi Everyone,

It's another year and you all are working hard on your lovely costumes! I- Lilly-chan (Meg Tyler) here to say I'm bringing the"Matsuricon Cosplay Gatherings List" back for an 4th year (2008-2012)!

So if anyone on here that has a group feel free after you finalized your group gathering times to post a reply and I will list your gathering! Back in 2008 I've received some good feedback about having the listed printed out and available at the registration desk and random tables around the conventions. In 2009-2011 we had all the gatherings|photoshoots printed in the program booklet. I hope to continue the same at this year's Matsuricon. If anyone has any questions just feel free to reply back here or pm me! Thanks!

There has been people on Facebook requesting for more photoshoots etc and Nicole has asked me to keep this list active. When I get home later today I'll be updating the list with more groups. Catlin if your free sometime could you IM me through Facebook/AIM etc. To see what we could about this newest request.

Added a few more photoshoots to the list. Just a friendly reminder that ALL Photoshoots groups need to be posted here by this Friday in order to have the printed in the Program Booklet. Any groups that post their information after this Friday will not have their information printed in the program booklet.

Also a message from KyThalice Strayte- "I'd like to post in a note here:  This year we have three official staff photographers.  They have requested that we try not to schedule major photoshoots against one another, as they would like to be able to shoot at as many of them as possible.  One of them should be poking his head in here for some input soon, but until then just try to keep them spread out."

So for those of you that are in a big series such as "Naruto, One Piece, Beach etc" please keep an on other groups times and try not to schedule at the same time. I know from the past we haven't had much of a problem.

Rules
(Copy from Eurobeat King's Cosplay Otakon list ^.^)
1. You talk amongst your fellow cosplayers in the separate thread regarding your specific anime/video-game/j-rock/etc. series (Bleach, Naruto, Final Fantasy, etc.) and discuss when you want to have the gathering.

2. When you have figured out your gathering, you post the information here. Usually the person who's running that thread will post the series name, the day (Friday-Sunday), the time (9:00am to ??), and the location

3. Once you post, I will update the list as the gatherings come. If there are any changes, please reply and I'll make the necc. changes.

NOTE: Please only reply if you have a finalized gathering. Don't reply and say "We're having a Naruto gathering on Friday, but time & location are TBD" I would like to know all the details about a gathering before I post it.

Multiple Gatherings: Multiple gatherings of the same series are allowed, so list which one is which with the appropriate information. It's not uncommon to have 2,3, or even 4 gatherings of the same series..

Hey Catlin, thank for the note. Is last year photograher back? Because I remember him saying something about this back in November. Im at work right now, but when I get home later today I'll go ahead update the first post with this info. Also I was wondering a due date for anything being printed in the program book.

Yes I was thinking of David. I was posting from my iphone earlier. Back in November at Youmacon when he saw me he asked me some about the times.

Yes, David Blue is returning, this time as a staff photographer with two other photographers to back him up.  The deadline for program guide content is June 15th.  If you do not feel it is possible to make a June 15th deadline, we can do a short paragraph in the guide referring attendees to pick up a photoshoot schedule at Programming Headquarters.

Me and my friend are thinking of joining the Hetalia meeting. I have a few questions. 1. If we go to one, do we have to go to the other? (If we go Saturday, do we have to go Sunday?) 2. How long are the photoshoot things? 3. How do we get signed up?

Hi MAKxxATTAK,

1. If we go to one, do we have to go to the other? (If we go Saturday, do we have to go Sunday?)
You do not have to go to both of the photoshoots if you do not want to. These photoshoots are open to anyone that like to go to them.


2. How long are the photoshoot things?
There isn't a set time limit for each of these photoshoots. The groups can stay as long as they want to. Most groups normally stick around for an hour or an half hour. I left the amount of time for each photoshoot open to how long the groups want to be there.

3. How do we get signed up?
There isn't a sign up sheet or anything. Just show up and meet with fellow cosplayers.

I hope this answers your questions that your were looking for. As for anything to do with your group- Hetalia I suggest checking out their topic for more information if there is any changes.


Just another friendly bump reminder that all Photoshoots|Gatherings need to be post here by this Friday June 15, 2012. I get off from work at 8PM that night so you pretty much have the whole day to post here with your times then that night I will take the list and email Catlin the official list for the program booklet. If anything changes I'll let you know.
