Just to bookend this, staffers got back to me on the Facebook page.
We will be offering panelist badges to those who host 3 or more hours of programming. 3 hours will allow you 2 panelist badges. Each additional hour will add the availability of 1 additional panelist badge, HOWEVER please note that our panels staff will be keeping a close eye on who is at the front of the room. If you claim three panelist badges and we only see two people running panels, we will pull all three badges. A more detailed posting of panelist rules/regulations and the necessary information regarding panelist badges will be posted next week.
Panelists do not need to pre-register. Please keep in mind that all three hours must be accepted and placed on the schedule to qualify for a badge. If you have any doubts about one or your panels getting accepted, submit an extra or two. We have more hours to fill this year thanks to opening up to 24 hour programming, but we are still striving to be more selective of our panels.
