I understand that you want people to Pre-Register. I would do so except that I'm waiting to hear more information about the previously twittered VIP Badges. Please outline the price and the perks of purchasing such a badge. If you can't give the information right now, then just say so and give a possible timeline.

Yes, please do elaborate on this.  As I said in an earlier thread, I haven't pre-reg'd yet because I'm on the DVD-pass bandwagon, but I could be persuaded to throw down some extra $ to support the con with a VIP badge and use the DVD-badge (presumably non-VIP) to bring along a friend.

What's this I'm hearing about a VIP badge? =O
I'm curious about those as well, and I'd like to know what they are.

I am too! I had already pre-regged at the special rate of $20 dollars, but I wouldn't mind knowing what the VIP badges come with.

There's no official word, but general consensus was that we couldn't come up with enough perks to make the VIP pass worthwhile. You should register at the current rate before it goes up Sunday.

If we do come together on a plan for VIP access, we will offer an "upgrade" pass to anyone that already has a pre-existing badge.

Stay tuned though, we are working with the hyatt to get a special "incentive" together for anyone booking rooms at the hyatt.

I do like incentives, and I did like the Hyatt.  It's named after an anime character, and it was significantly cheaper than the hotel with the "free" food, and it supports the con.

Of course, I'd like it even more were there incentives  Grin

EDIT: Why does the Hyatt only allow you to book "normal" rooms online?   Some of their pictures seem to be outdated (they show SD TVs in some of the rooms).
