So, my friend and I are going as Ash and Pikachu from the original series first season. I know there's a no-collar policy, but what's the con policy on harnesses? It would be like a child leash, something wrapped around his chest. Probably a small net mesh (nothing that could hurt or choke him.)

I've seen other people with harnesses on at the con in previous years, including after when the no-collar policy was enacted. But I wanted to make sure ahead of time so we could plan our outfit appropriately.

do you have a photograph of what you're asking approval for? I would take note that you just referred to what you wanted as a "child leash". Our general policy is that if it's illegal outside it's illegal inside. If you'd want pre-approval our security team would need photos.

I don't currently have a photograph, as we're still figuring out exactly what to make it out of, but I can get you one soon.

It's not illegal outside, as far as I know. What I meant by "child leash" is those harnesses some parents buy for their children to keep them close by https://encrypted-tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQlOFro2WwdzV-IlNL1BUj7TwEdVumQ9RMVIcjpz57yCAFTIP7ZSQ (I don't really like parents that use child leashes on children, I was just using it as a comparison of something legal people do in Ohio.)

After reviewing the episodes, my friend and I still need to talk about specifics, but we're thinking it will actually end up being a small string wrapped around his chest, right below the breast bone, two or three times, preferably not very tightly. I'll get you even more specifics as we talk over it, and a picture as soon as we build it.

Alright, I have the photos now. We decided to go with some clothes line.

On a safety note: The rope cannot tighten further, I tied it in a way that it couldn't hurt him or suffocate him no matter how hard it was pulled on.

As you can see it's just a bit of clothes line tied around his waist three times. I knotted it so it couldn't hurt him (spent a good 10 minutes tugging as hard as I could, he could never feel any pain.)

Do you think this would be okay for the con? It doesn't offer the threat of choking, and tugging on it can't hurt him.
