This is really cool, I must say!  I mean, having the Distant Worlds concert is one thing, but to actually have Nobuo Uematsu himself making an appearance at the con itself is pretty darn awesome!  Nice work!

This is not only some of the greatest news in Matsuricon history, but pretty much cements Matsuri as one of the great up-and-coming Conventions in the region!  I'm so excited about this!

Still wondering what "special appearance" means.
Does it mean he will be doing a panel or will be interviewed on stage for everyone to see or an autograph signing or just wondering around the con or host something at the con or show up for ten minutes and then goes to spend the rest of the time up in the green room?

I understand where you're coming from --special appearance is a bit ambiguous.  I can tell you that he is just not coming in to say hello, hang out in our green room, and leaving.  We are working out the particulars so that we maximize his time with us due to his hectic schedule.  Once we finalize everything, we will share with everyone.  I don't mean to be vague, but I can't really go into detail with it right now since the only thing finalized is that he's making a special appearance.

Soooooooo excited! Is the proper greeting a hand shake, a bow, or kissing his feet as he walks on the rose petals of his many admirers?

This is so cool. I won't be able to attend to concert and I'm quite peeved about it, but to have a chance seeing Mr.Uematsu in person at the con is just beyond wicked.

Is it safe to say that autograph signing is to be expected at least? I plan on ordering something specific for Uematsu to sign, but I don't want to do so if it turns out that he isn't doing autographs.

If only I weren't one of the few anime fans who aren't super excited by this guest (because I hadn't heard of him before matsuricon's announcement)...  Woe is me.

The closest thing I have to a relevant item for him to sign is an old dvd of The Spirits Within, the next closest being a gba cart for one of the ff games. Brutal.
