What a lot of people did not understand with us was the fact that we were trying to get our group that was meeting and then move outside. People saw our sign with our group name and imediately just assumed we were giving ramen in exchange for hugs. That was not the issue. Ramen was not to be handed out to anyone that walked by. We were going to be outside away from the all the congestion. It sadened Ramen Or Hugs Productions that no one would even stop and listened to what we had to say. We have done several panels in the past and have done several meet ups as well at previous conventions. We put a lot of money into this meet up and traveled a great distance just to come. We spent money on a new button machine (look up that expense for yourselves) and made over 100 buttons with Matsuricon 2010 on them. They are useless at other conventions. I just wish programing would have told us in the forum that since the we didnt have a panel that we couldnt have a meet up! It would have saved us a lot of money and time. This may have been our last year at Matsuricon. The panel rooms at this hotel would be far too small for most of what we do, and since meet ups of such activities are apparently prohibited Ramen Or Hugs Productions and ALL Copyrighted Activities of Ramen Or Hugs Productions may not be returning to Matsuricon. Hey guy its us from the Ramen or Hugs team. We have done several panels at other conventions. Anyone see us? We also did Ramen or Hugs in 2008. We handed out over 200 packets of FREE RAMEN, FREE CANDY, and FREE POCKY. Who could forget that? We played games and and told stories. If we dont get approved for a panel I was wondering if anyone was up for a Hallway Meet-Up or such?
were you the ones that did the who wants free ramen panel in 09. if so please come to the con again...i had a blast at that panel! |

Panel submissions have already closed for this year's Matsuricon, and I have unfortunately not received a submission for this panel.  I encourage you to submit earlier next year, as this seems to have been a fan-favorite. |

what if another panel drops out of the con a few weeks before it happens... then could we give the slot to them?
I have seen panels drop out of cons all the time in just a few weeks before it happens .so I know this might be possible

They still will need to put through a submission. If slots are dropped, they go first to those submissions that we received past the deadline in order of when we received them. I currently have three panels that I received after submissions closed. If spots open up, they will go to them first.

I'm sorry guys one of my team members was supposed to send the submission months ago. He must have gotten mixed up with all the other conventions we were doing. And to answer any confusion we were not the ones who did who wants free ramen. We did Ramen or Hugs in 2008. We submitted this back in 2009 on the first day panel submissions were open. For some sad reason we were turned down that year though. Therefore I saw another group submitted a similar panel (who wants free ramen). I dont know if anyone is up for it, but if you are we will host a hallway meet up, and maybe head outside or something for some amazing outside games as well. We will pring prizes for our BIG contest we always have as well.

we were naruto: ramen or hugs at matsuricon in 2008
since then we have opened to all animes and all cosplays.
everyone likes to have fun, and who doesnt like free ramen and free candy lol.
