Guest Cancellation - Johnny Yong Bosch

Hey there everyone!

If you haven't seen the twitter post by now -- Johnny Yong Bosch and Eyeshine have cancelled their appearance with Matsuricon 2010.  It is a shame that they won't be joining us in August, but we wish Johnny nothing but the best as he will be in Japan during Matsuricon, filming a project that has not been revealed yet.  We are hoping to bring Johnny and Eyeshine to Matsuricon 2011!

We apologize for getting our attendee's hopes up to meet Johnny and Eyeshine-- his agent has already stated that he regrets cancelling his appearance and hopes to make it back to Ohio to visit our con!

We're still working on getting you more guests to meet at Matsuricon 2010, so stay tuned to our website, forums, and the twitter feed!

Yeah, I was really looking forward to Eyeshine being there this year as well. But given the chance to go do some sort of film project or attend a con, I would have chose the film project too. I can be patient and wait until next year and cross my fingers that he and his band will attend then. Plus my friend who is just as big of a fangirl of Johnny's as I am will be living in Ohio so she'll be able to go to the con with us then too. So while it is really saddening that we won't see him this year, there's always next year to look forward too. Not like those of us who were looking forward to his appearance can't still make the most of this years convention anyway. :3

Same here. )": He's my favorite VA ever and I've been wanting to meet him since I first heard his voice when I played Tales of the Abyss (He was Guy Cecil in it.) *cries*

Fear not, Matsuricrowd, with any luck he'll be attending next year to make up for it.  Bosch is a cool guy, and I'm glad he's off doing a project instead of coming to the Con.  I'd love to have seen him, but Matsuricon is not lost, and it's great that he's doing something new in his career and I'm wishing him the bestest.  There's still, as always, plenty of good times to be had.  There's always 2011.
