Hi,

I was wondering would we have Internet Access at Matsuricon in the Artist Alley? The reason why I'm asking is that I was hoping to accept credit cards by Pay Pal if I have access to the internet. Also would there be in outlets near by our tables or should we plan on bringing extension cords?

thanks,

From the registration packet:
"There are standard electrical outlets along one wall and in limited spots in the floor, due to assigned seating we can not guarantee outlets, but please do bring an extension cord, as there is usually an outlet within reach."
So yes, bring an extension cord, but I cannot guarantee 100% that you will be near an outlet. Hopefully you'll be close enough that with some tape, cords, and maybe a multi-outlet, it will work for the artists nearest each outlet.

As for internet, according to the Doubletree there is free wifi in the common areas (meeting rooms/lobby), but in your rooms you will be charged to use wifi. The representative I spoke to said you can get more details from the front desk, but that if you did use the internet in a hotel room the cost was $9 per day.
The one thing I'd add to that is that whenever there's free wifi at a con it tends to get a bit overloaded, so be prepared for that during peak times.

K, I'll bring an extension cord ^___^ I kind of figure that. As for the internet that is good to know. I wouldn't have a room since I live so close so if for say I can get online for free with the wifi then that would be great if not then $9 isn't that bad at all. Thanks for the info.

Nice- that's an excellent setup.
The girl I talked to sounded a little vague so I guess you are talking to the hotel at a higher level. Smiley
