Matsuricon is happy to be hosted by the newly-renovated Hyatt Regency Columbus located in Downtown Columbus, OH right off of I-670/I-71. Room rates start at $157 per night. Hyatt Guest Policy
Minors staying at the Hyatt should bring photo ID if at all available. There is no hard ruling when a minor is accompanied by their parent or legal guardian, but we suggest being safe and having a photo ID. Anyone of any age can get a photo ID; for more information, check out the BMV website. The age requirement for check-in at the Hyatt is 18.
We ask that all hotel guests must be registered on the room. You can have up to 4 people in the room. When you’re registered to the room, you will get a special themed Matsuricon keycard! Toasters, Toaster Ovens, Hot Plates and Crock Pots are not permitted in Guest rooms.
From the hours of 6AM to 10PM, hotel guests may come and go as they please, as well as take visitors to their room. But from the hours of 10PM to 6AM, you are required to show your keycard to one of the officers near the elevator to gain access. This is going to help alleviate elevator congestion, because we know how busy the elevators can get at night! If all of us help, we can make this a smooth weekend for everyone!
Unfortunately, if security does get called to a room, and there are more than 4 people in a room, they’ll be asked to either return to their room, or to the main con area. We have to play by the rules on this one.
