2022 Covid-19 Policy

Matsuricon will be requiring the following in relation to Covid & our in-person event being held August 12th – 14th, 2022.

All attendees must provide proof of vaccination (July 29th, 2022) or a negative PCR test within 72 hours of attending our event at time of badge pick up.

Children age 10 and under are not required to have the vaccine or negative test but must still wear a mask that meets the Covid-19 requirements. ONLY children under 2 will be except from all Covid-19 and mask guidelines.
All children must be accompanied by an adult that has met the Covid-19 policy.

Accepted forms of documentation include your physical vaccine card, online proof of negative PCR test through a 3rd party provider such as Walgreens, CVS, RiteAid, MyChart etc, online vaccine cards such as VaxYes or Clear. Screenshots and photos will NOT be accepted. Please email [email protected] with any questions you have on this info.

Vaccinations will include all CDC acknowledged single or double vaccines (Matsuricon at this time does not require boosters)

Masks will be required in all Matsuricon event rooms : including but not limited to main events, exhibitor hall, game rooms, group photoshoots rooms, and panels

** Masks must fully cover your nose and mouth, must securely fit under your chin, and be visible at all times. ***full fursuit heads & full face cosplay masks will be approved***

There are a few things NOT permitted:

  • Masks with valves, cuts, holes, etc.
  • Bandanas, gaiters, or other wraps that do not fit securely under your chin.
  • Face shields.

** medical exemption/accommodation will be handled by security day of event**

Matsuricon strongly encourages everyone to wear masks in all areas of the convention centers. We strongly recommend wearing masks in all lobbies, hallways, public spaces, and restrooms and ask that you mask up and do your part to protect yourself and others. While the convention centers & the City of Columbus at this time are not enforcing masks in public access areas Matsuricon will require and enforce masks to enter our areas and events.

These requirements & guidelines will apply to everyone including but but not limited to : exhibitors, artist, vendors, guests, staff, press, volunteers, and attendees

Matsuricon reserves the right to heighten restrictions in accordance with any updated guidelines per The CDC or City of Columbus at time of event.
